What I Purchased Today

Today I was looking through Metrostyle's tall section and thought I'd share with you what I purchased.
1. Tall Gem Waist Top (item 0808-85895-1042). This item is on backorder and should ship by the end of the month. I love purple and I hope the empire waist is figure flattering.
2. Tall French Terry Jog Set (item # 0842-01603-1042). I think it's nice for days when I am chasing kids everywhere. Shipping was just $4.99 with code "MSWELCOME".

Update: 2/2/10. I finally received the tall gem waist top and have to say I love it. It's figure flattering and really quite beautiful. It's a tad bit low-cut, so I wear a tank top underneath.
For the tall terry jog set, the pants fit great. The top however seems a bit snug and I wish the sleeves and length were a few inches longer.

This is a nice option if you carry most of your length in long legs, but may not work for the long torso tall woman. I will keep looking for options for you.

New arrivals at Newport News include these women's tall cargo pants. Although it doesn't list the inseam length, they are normally sell 35" inseams. They have a relaxed comfortable fit and come with many pockets. They are made of cotton that is enzyme and silicone washed for incredible softness. Chose from light tan or black in sizes 6T-18T.

Tall Body Shaping Pants- 36" Inseam

I purchased this pair of tall body shaping pants from Long Elegant Legs at least six months ago. I must say that I love them! They feel like excercise pants and that is mainly how I wear them. But, I also wear them around town on the days when I just want to be comfy. I feel like the front panel helps to hold in my tummy - BONUS! I probably wear them once a week and they have held up really well. They come in a 36" inseam length in sizes 6-24.

When planning my wardrobe, I prefer to spend the majority of money on my dressy tall clothes. I love to save money on my workout clothing as I prefer to have many mix and match pieces since they are worn often. Today I have put together an ensemble from Old Navy. Most items are currently on sale.
Start off with a racer back tall sports tank top. Next add a pair of tall yoga pants with a 36" inseam. They have gotten high reviews and are a steal at less than $20. For traveling to and from the gym, layer a tall track jacket over the top.
