Tall Tuesday Trends: Bright Pants

Let There be Bright!

This week’s trend is bright trousers. But as usual, it’s a bit difficult to embrace the trend when you can’t go into any ol’ store and buy off the rack. [sigh]. Lucky for you, we have your back! We’ve gone through scores of online retailers to find  this trend in your tall size.

Bright pants are all the rage and let me tell you I’m on board. Sometimes I look at my closet and it’s quite sad to see all the brown, black, and grey. Can you say “blah?” While it’s much easier to find tall size denim, finding tall size pants in anything but the most basic of colors can still be a challenge. But here are a handful that I love. Like L.O.V.E!

I know what you’re thinking—my legs are long enough; do I really want to wear bright coral pants and call attention to them? Well, of course you do! The trick is to treat these pants as a statement piece and go simple with the rest of your outfit. Try a simple white button up, a white tee, an ivory sweater, or a metallic tee or tank. And if you’re afraid of the trend, go easy at first with an ankle length like the blue pair. It’s not quite as in your face and though still a bold color, cobalt blue isn’t as audacious as purple, pink, or coral.

Women's Tall Pants Product Review: Height Goddess

For my Thursday Tall Shape up the scale says I've gained 2.6 pound this week. Ugh! I hoped not, but kind of expected it to say that after such a big loss last week. I followed the exact same plan on Weight Watchers and exercised. However, my clothes fit better. I believe I gained some muscle this week and I'm mostly fine with that.  I also had a salty dinner last night, so perhaps that could come into play. I don't know. Well, I guess I'm a little disappointed, as I worked really hard. I'll continue to stick with my plan and hopefully next week I'll be rewarded for it. So overall I am down 8.3 lbs. 
I made a deal with myself that I would reward myself with clothes when I reached weight loss goals. It's a huge motivator to me! So no rewards this week. :(

As a reward to myself for losing my first 10 lbs, (now 8.3 lbs) I purchased the below pair of Height Goddess - Bethany Wide Leg Cuffed Tall Dress Pants. I've been wanting to try them out for a while. Today I'm going to review them.

I placed my order with Height Goddess and I was surprised to find it arrived around 3 days later. Talk about fast shipping! I couldn't wait to try them. I bought the 35" inseam length. The leg length is long enough that I can wear them with flats or mid-heels.

The fabric is a poly/rayon/spandex. The feel is dressier as well as the look, which is what I was hoping for as I wanted a go-to pair of tall dress pants.

It feels good on and looks great. Overall, I'm quite happy. I think the only critique is that I wish the front pockets were a bit deeper. They are more like a rounded half-pocket and won't really hold anything.  I guess that's why we all take a handbag.

I definitely recommend this pair of women's tall pants as a keeper. You will also be able to find them in 37" and 39" inseams in black or in tan.

We've been featuring women's tall workout clothing all week long during our Tall Fitness Week series. Today we bring you women's tall hiking clothing. Women's Tall Sheath Dress, Blazer and Pants

Gap Adds 37" Inseam Jeans for Tall Women

Gap.com has changed their women's tall jeans sizing, including adding some 37" inseam jeans! I have included the size chart so you can see the changes. All of the "tall" inseams used to be 36" inseams. Now they are mainly 37" inseams with the majority of their "long"size jeans having 35" inseams.
